It is generally accepted that political-economic environments have a great deal of influence on the organizations in their domain. Consequently, there may be limits to the extent of developing mature organizations in environments that are moving opposite directions of maturity: toward unpredictability, political and economic turmoil and lack of transparency. This panel showcases how the concept of maturity, maturity models and their measurement instruments can be used for different segments of the political-economic environments: multi-location work, public administration, health care and higher education, just to give some examples. Panelists will also look at the bigger picture, the political-economic-social environments’ probabilistic determination of the maturity level of their organizations.
