Topic: Protecting submission types / tracks with a code  (Read 3993 times)

Is it possible to protect specific submission types / tracks with a code?
We want to allow only certain authors who have the code to be able to enter a submission in a specific track (e.g. for invited talks).

You can easily protect any submission type / track with a code.

Please go to the page for submission types / tracks and click on “Edit Submission Type / Track” to open the corresponding submission type / track:
Overview => Settings => Manage Submission Types / Conference Tracks
First, please enable the expert settings by clicking on "Expert Settings Disabled" or the cogwheel icon on the bottom of the page.
Now go to the section “Submission Code” and for the option “Regular Expression to Verify the Submission Code” enter a regular expression that reflects the code(s) you will give out to authors (see image 1).
Save your settings.

You will find more information about regular expressions here: How to use regular expressions

Codes do not have to be unique and can be used by several authors or for several submissions by the same author (see image 2).

It is always a good idea to test your new settings before you go live.
