Password protection for PDF files generated by ConfTool Pro

We tried to edit an invoice / confirmation of participation / invitation as PDF file downloaded from ConfTool Pro, but are not allowed to do it to until we enter a password.

How can we proceed?

All PDF files issued by ConfTool Pro are usually password protected against manipulation. If someone tries to modify the PDF files, a prompt will appear. To edit these PDF files, it is necessary to enter a password (see image 1).

The password is randomly generated when the system is installed. To view or update the PDF protection password for all PDF files generated by the system, please go to:
Overview => Settings => Main Settings for Participant Registration
...  and scroll down to the section “Registration Confirmation and Invoice in PDF Format”. The field “PDF Protection Password” shows the current password.
If required, you can update the password and click on the button “Save Data” at the bottom of the page to save your new settings (image 2).

Please note that the same password is used for Invoices / Confirmations of Registration as well as for Invitations, Visa letters, Certificates and Confirmations for Participation.
