Led by certified city guides, this insightful walk will not only show you Bamberg’s historical city center that is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved medieval architecture and unique city layout, but also take you to three exciting Smart City stations:

  • Smart City Office / Stadt:Raum (Promenadestraße 6a, 96047 Bamberg) – Meet Bamberg’s Smart City team and get insights into their innovative projects.
  • Obere Brücke – Learn how sensors for visitor counting were installed on this famous building despite heritage conservation regulations.
  • University Aula (Dominikanerstraße 2A, 96049 Bamberg) – Discover cutting-edge digital monument technologies, including Bamberg’s digital twin. Digital Twin of Bamberg city by 3D imaging and 3D modelling, by Digital Technologies in Heritage Conservation (Mona Hess) in the former Dominican church, now Aula of the University of Bamberg.
